Just been up to the Post Office and the shutter is down, the web site says open till 3pm, the Post Office web site says open till 5.30 pm but at 2.30 pm its locked up tight. There is no indication of opening hours visible with the shutter down! What a way to run a business.
This is a useful local post office. It offers Amazon pick up, a few basic foods and postal services.
Won"t be returning! Went to post two small packages. Girl on her mobile having a conversation. Carried on while we stood there. No apology for keeping us waiting. Seemed to think it was amusing & acceptable! Then tried doing two things at once, still talking on her phone! Still no apology! Trying to hold two conversions is NOT a good idea or professional. Told to put envelope on scales, waited again while she carried on, on her phone. Was not convinced she was concentrating on what she was doing. Asked if she was concentrating, the answer came back very loudly, "Im on the phone if you don't mind & MY SON is more important than you are".! Still no apology. I took my packages & left silently listening to a mouth of abuse as we went. And whats more, she was going to over charge me for my envelope as she was NOT concentrating!! I took my business elsewhere, where they were not on their phones, not rude, & confirmed that I would have been over charged had I waited for her to finish on her phone!
Not a huge stock, but that's not expected in such a local store. You can get a newspaper, milk, bread, wine and other larder essentials. The tiny P.O. counter is frequently monopolized by the eBay brigade, sadly. Most frustrating when you just want a book of stamps, and they want to send 24 parcels
