Excellent customer service and a beautiful site, especially if you've got dogs. The woodland walk is magical and the nature reserve is stunning. Recommended!
I would highly recommend this campsite to anyone wanting a lovely quiet time away from kids. It's an excellent campsite. It's well laid out and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The toilet and shower block was lovely and clean with excellent showers. We were only there for a bank holiday weekend and will definitely be going back for longer.
The back of beyond touring Park is absolutely fantastic and top-notch. It is extremely well run and by far the best camping site I have been to. Offering excellent facilities for everything from large camper vans and caravans down to the smallest tent. This site is adults only so it is extremely quiet and people keep themselves to themselves. The site is also extremely dog friendly, although the park was full of dogs there was very little barking going on. The dog walking facilities are 10 out of 10.The shop and amenities have a wide variety of useful stuff should you forget something. The prices versus the convenience of having the shop on site are very reasonable in my opinion. Another major feature of this camping facility is if you want to pop out and get a Starbucks or a McDonald's all visit a Sainsbury superstore all of these are in a couple of minutes drive from the campsite. So it's quite amazing that the site is so tranquil. But it is! I had a very relaxing time there and found the staff helpful and very professional. All in all fantastic value for money fantastic facilities. Zero downside.
Quite disappointed. Arrived at midday, and began setting up camp. Initial impressions were good, however within an hour, we were asked to be quiet whilst setting up the tent with quiet music playing. We are aware this is a tranquil site and fully respect that, however we were not loud or disruptive. On night 2, an adjacent site had a festival band playing until 12.30am, which we appreciate is next door, but not in keeping with the previous day. You also can't have a camp fire at the moment. Something we were not informed of until 10pm when our campfire was up and running. Facilities were great, site is clean but probably won't be going back.
Just enjoying our last night in one of the lodges with our 2 dogs. Very quiet site with clean wash rooms and a good little shop for all the essentials. The lodge we stayed in was dog friendly and had all we needed to cook if we wished. A fire pit and fuel was supplied at a small fee and was great to cook on but there were also 2 gas burners with gas. The camping stove in the lodge was also great for a quick cup of tea in the morning. All the people that ran the site and all the people we spoke to were lovely and friendly and it was made to feel like a very special place. Great location to explore the whole area which was one of the main reasons for originally choosing the site.
